NSS Unit organized Cleanliness Drives under “Swachhata Hi Sewa Hai”
National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Singh Degree College, Reasi has organized a cleanliness drive under “Swachhata Hi Sewa Hai” in which more than 60 NSS volunteers of the college participated. Due to the holiday on 28th September, the volunteers were tasked with starting the drive from their own houses, roads, and streets adjoining their homes to spread awareness among the general public about community service and the cleanliness of our surroundings. The drive was organized under the supervision of NSS Program Officer, Prof. Ajay Kumar and the guidance of College Principal, Dr. Kulvinder Kour. The whole activity was monitored by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India and the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitization, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. The NSS Unit and volunteers were awarded online certificates by the Ministries. The NSS Unit of the college is organizing cleanliness drives under the “Swachhata Hi Sewa Hai” Campaign since 15th September 2023 which will culminate on 2nd October the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji.

29th August, 2023: On 29th of August, 2023 Directorate of Physical Education and Sports University of Jammu invited Prof. Ajay Kumar (for preparing the Jammu University Fencing Team) and 5 fencers of the college to felicitate the for their extraordinary performance during the All-India Inter-University Fencing Championship and Khelo India University Games, 2022 at Lucknow where they won three bronze medals.गिता

On the direction of the District Administration, NSS Unit of Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi has organized a “Selfie with Tiranga” Competition under “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” in which more than 300 college students along with Principal and Staff Members participated. A Selfie point was made by the NSS & NCC volunteers of the college where students and staff members have taken their selfies and uploaded them on the link provided by the district administration.

NSS Unit of GGZMD College, Reasi organized Cleanliness Drive at Bhim Garh Fort. As per the calendar issued by the Office of the District Development Commissioner, Reasi National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi has organized a 2 hours cleanliness drive at Bhim Garh Fort from 8.00 am to 10.00 am in which about 30 NSS volunteers have participated along with NSS Programme Officer, Prof. Ajay Kumar and collected waste material, removed bushes and cleaned the path from the entry gate to the main area of the fort.
